Jimmy Petruzzi MSc is University lecturer, a world-renowned high-performance coach, hypnotherapist and NLP trainer, award-winning coach, bestselling author, award-winning speaker, developer of cognitive reprocessing, radio broadcaster, musician, committee member communications officer and Co Chair elect for the North West England BPS British Psychological Society, editor for BPS British Psychological Society North of England Bulletin Jimmy Petruzzi was a candidate for The British Psychological Society President Elect role 2022. He also works as a coach for Barnsley Women’s Football Club, Australasian Soccer Academy and Bacup Borough Football Club.

An effective script has to be directly based on the client’s well-defined problem while incorporating his or her expectations and desired outcome. Although many standard scripts are available for a wide range of issues, these should be adapted to fit the client’s personality, state of mind and particular nuances in their situation, environment, beliefs,
The starting point of all good and effective scripts is to identify and clarify exactly what the client’s problem is and what change they want to achieve behaviour, etc. It should also encompass their life goals and values to build motivation and a willingness to exert effort.”
