UKHC24 FAQ !

Frequently Asked Questions – Answered !

When is the 2024 UK Hypnosis Convention?

The convention runs for 3 days from Friday 15th November to Sunday 17th November 2024.

Where is the 2024 UK Hypnosis Convention held?

The Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel

The convention is centred in the Arora Suite, which is off the ground floor lobby to the left of the reception desk, it is well signposted. This is where you will find our Welcome Desk and an eclectic marketplace manned by selected Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy-related training organisations, businesses and other organisations.

Our presentation rooms are in the Waterloo Suite, Blackfriars and Southwark Rooms. The Blackfriars and Southwark rooms are within the Arora Suite mentioned above. The Waterloo suite is back out of the Arora Suite and on the opposite side of the hotel’s lobby and main reception desk.

Do UKHC attendees receive a discount on hotel rooms during the convention?

Yes ! Here is the link for those attending the 2024 UK Hypnosis Convention, to use to get our discounted rate on hotel rooms at the Renaissance Hotel: UKHC24 Discounted Hotel Bookings

It will automatically be set for all possible nights of the convention, you should adjust this to specify just the nights that you wish to book for on the booking form and will retain the reduced rate. You will find further information on the reservation link given above.

Please note that the blocks of rooms we get allocated often run out and the site states that they are sold out – we are usually then able to get more rooms allocated (so let us know) but it can take a couple of days for the hotel to activate them.

This discount is withdrawn a little while before the date of the event, so if you want to take advantage of the special rate then don’t leave booking your room until the last minute.

How do I buy tickets?

Convention tickets (including Gala Dinner) and Workshop Tickets can (and indeed can only) be purchased on this website’s Ticket Shop.

Will my ticket be sent to me?

You will not be sent a physical ticket as we hold your order details on our system. You should receive an Order Acknowledgment from us. If you have not received a confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us by email at admin@ukhypnosisconvention.co.uk. You can collect your pass from the UKHC Welcome Desk when you arrive at the convention.

Can I get a refund for my ticket if I can’t come?

Our cancellation policy can be viewed here Cancellations and Refunds.

This link also appears on our online ticket shop’s order page so purchasers can refer to these terms before they purchase their tickets.

To apply for a refund please contact us by email at admin@ukhypnosisconvention.co.uk

Do I need to register when I arrive at the UKHC?

Yes. Please come to our Welcome Desk (turn left at the main reception area in the lobby and look for our signs) where we will register you and issue you with your pass and lanyard, this will allow you entry to convention events for the days you have booked to attend. Please wear your lanyard at all times, it is your entry ticket!

The Welcome Desk will be open from early evening on Thursday 9th November, exact times to be confirmed.

Is parking available?

Yes – there is a per-day fee for parking at the hotel, UKHC delegates receive a slight discount (reduced from £15.00 to £10.00 per day). Contact the hotel directly with regards to this.

Are there places to eat at the hotel and nearby?

Yes. The Renaissance Hotel offers a lunchtime deal to all our delegates in their cafe, and there is a restaurant and a bar that both serve hot meals at lunch and dinner time. You can contact the hotel or restaurant directly for information on menus, accessibility, food allergies and intolerances or anything else you need to know from them. Additionally, there are a range of restaurants within short travelling distance of the hotel.

Entry to Presentations and Dinner

When attending any convention presentation or the gala dinner your pass may be checked, please ensure you always have it with you. You may be refused entry without it.

What time does the convention start and finish each day?

Our full schedule with timings can be found on our website on the main schedule here. This schedule is not cast in stone and may change due to cancellations and other factors outside our control.

What time does my Post Convention Workshop start/finish each day?

Check the Workshop Details.

Can I reserve a seat for a presentation?

We are unable to reserve seats, it’s first come, first seated! However, if you have special requirements, please contact us in advance or speak to one of our team at our Welcome Desk, and we will do our best to help and accommodate.

All the presentation rooms have good capacity, however, due to strict safety rules, we have a limit on the number of people in each room which we cannot exceed. Two members of the UKHC team will be in the rooms at all times and will let anyone know if or when a room is full. If there are presentations you especially want to see, please get to the rooms on time.

Please look out for barcodes to scan to complete feedback forms for the presentations you attend – this feedback helps us improve the convention each year.

Can I buy a ticket on the day?

Yes – if tickets are still available, we did sell out of some day tickets last year! Please email us to check availability.

Can I buy a last-minute ticket for the Gala Dinner?

We have to give the final numbers a few weeks before the event so cannot guarantee we will have tickets available. Please check with us at the Welcome Desk for any cancellations.

Gala Dinner – Dress Code

It’s your chance to dress up! No need for a black tie, tuxedo or long gowns and tiaras, unless of course, you want to. Think, party outfits, impress the in-laws, a new date, a new boss – you get the idea!

Gala Dinner – Food Preferences and Intolerances

The Gala Dinner comprises a 3-course, self-service buffet-style format so you are free to select dishes from the range available which includes vegetarian and vegan options. Due to this format, this event is not suitable for people with severe food intolerances as it is not possible to guarantee the absence of specific food items.

If I have a complaint or problem at the Convention, who do I speak to?

Come to the Welcome Desk and we will direct you to the best person to deal with the issue.

After the convention, will I get a CPD Certificate?

If you require and request a CPD certificate of attendance, we will email one to you within 30 days of the Convention: Send your request to admin@UKHypnosisConvention.co.uk
