We welcome back Linda Witchell as a speaker at this year’s UK Hypnosis Convention.
Linda Witchell is a retired nurse and has been practising as a hypnotherapist for over 17 years. She claims to be a bit of a workaholic but loves working full-time in her business, seeing people change and feel better. Linda has completed an MSc in hypnosis and MSc in Psychology, as her mission is to bridge that gap between theory and practice and raise the value of the hypnotherapy profession. She is also a qualified counsellor, coach, trainer and supervisor. When taking time out Linda loves to travel, and take photos, and she is a great animal lover. She has won an award as an influential woman of the year.
Linda’s presentation is titled: “How do UK Hypnotherapists feel about working online?”
Research exploring the psychological factors or delivering hypnosis via videoconferencing
This presentation will provide an interesting perspective on the development of online work in the hypnotherapy profession. As part of an MSc Psychology, a mixed-methods approach was used to explore the UK hypnotherapist’s attitudes, acceptance and use of delivering hypnotherapy via videoconferencing. This presentation will not only provide information about how hypnotherapists work in the UK, but it will also help practitioners understand the psychological factors that make us behave in this way and the future of online work for business and educational development.
