UKHC19 Lightning Talks

The lightning talks were a new addition to the UKHC last year and a big success. This year we hope to make them even better by hosting them in a more relaxed area away from the formality of the main presentation rooms.

Designed to give those who haven’t spoken at the convention before an opportunity to present. They get to deliver a concise 20 minute presentation on a topic of their choice to a convention audience.

No slide shows, no fancy presentations, just a really clear and concise message that we hope will leave you wanting more.

Grab yourself a drink and come and join us for what promises to be a stimulating, enjoyable and fast-paced way to spend your Friday night at the convention.

Interested in attending? You do not need to book to attend Lightning Talks, you can drop in/out as you like and all Friday, Saturday and 3 Day Convention Ticket holders are welcome.

As with all convention events, there are restrictions on the number of people who can attend based on the theatre/room safe maximum occupancy set by the venue. All seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

Dual Voice Hypnosis

Dual Voice Guys

Presented by

The Dual Voice Guys

Dual Voice Hypnosis is the art of using syncronized dual voice patterns, in order to provide optimal suggestive influence channels in the subconscious mind.

This technique uses hypnotic language in a profound way that can help people to respond well where they may have struggled using other approaches. Especially suited for hypnotic suggestion within influence and change work.

This creative approach is a technology that can be fun, used in a variety of situations, such as therapy, stage, street hypnosis or conversational influence in the daily life routine, and can enhance the opportunity of teamwork with a fellow hypnotist and the reunion between professionals in hypnosis.

Recovery From A Life Of Natural Somnambulism

Sheryl Hill

Presented by

Sheryl Hill

In the 1960’s John G. Kappas, Phd. theorized that hypersuggestibility exposed individuals to damaging external and internal elements that created an environment where fears and phobias could thrive. Depending on one’s level of hypersuggestibility or somnambulism, they were subject many phobic conditions based on that exposure. He theorized that somnambulism was responsible for most medical and psychological conditions.

Natural Somnambulism is probably something of which you have not heard. We are the highest of the most hypersuggestible client. Hypnosis saved me from confusing medical and psychological diagnosis that were only partially accurate because the medical community is unaware of “Somnambulism” as a condition unrelated to sleepwalking. While we may be very entertaining as subjects of stage hypnosis, with this chronic condition comes a myriad of symptoms that are unhealthy and embarrassing. I believe that reducing my hypersuggestibility through hypnosis has literally saved my life.

Sheryl Hill

Tales of a Rapid Change Worker

Howard Cooper

Presented by

Howard Cooper

Over the years working as a change-worker our styles change and develop as we learn more and hone our craft. This means that sometimes we can look back at the way we used to work with clients and think, “how little did we know back then?”.

For me what led to these moments of development are those occasions where we helped a client to experience ‘something new’. Or where we totally struck out with someone and vowed, “I’m not doing it that way again!”

I share some of the stories from the ‘coal-face’, (the good, the bad and the ugly!) that have shaped how I work as well as explaining how and why getting good at telling tales is invaluable as a hypnotherapist.

Howard Cooper

Howard Cooper bills himself as a Rapid Change consultant helping people to create RAPID shifts in their thinking; rejecting the notion that deep and lasting change needs to take a long time. Howard has supported more than 2,500 individuals over the past 17 years on an international level, people from all walks of life and ages, to overcome intrusive personal phobias, anxieties and issues that they have often suffered from for years. He is the creator and host of the “Rapid Change Matters Podcast”, was the lead psychological presenter on Virgin Atlantic’s critically acclaimed ‘Flying Without Fear’ course, and also appeared on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Fear of Flying: Caught on Camera’. He and his work have also been discussed on the BBC, in The Daily Telegraph, Daily Express, The Sun and CEO Magazine.

Take a walk on the Time Line

Jane Turner

Presented by

Jane Turner

Create the future you want to have using the time of your life. Take a walk on the time line to make your dreams come true. The future is the space for dreams, the past for information to support them and the present to act to make those dreams real. Time is relative; the past, present and future are constructs which, while convenient are not fixed but fluid.

The Time Line takes advantage of this using space to represent time. These two essential parameters play a major role in both ordinary and non-ordinary or altered states of consciousness. In trance, time is suspended and space distorted encouraging creativity, movement and change. Take a walk on the Time Line to experience hypnosis and create change.

Jane Turner

Clinical psychologist, trained in and practicing Ericksonian hypnosis for 35 years in Paris, France. Psychotherapist, coach and trainer.

Author of several books on NLP, coaching and Time Line.

Recover from Fat

Serafiina Sainio

Presented by

Serafiina Sainio

Losing weight is a lot more than diet, overweight people carry with them traumas and guilt.

They are told to eat less and be more active and are encouraged to just control their eating when instead they would need help and support like any other eating disorder patient.

To get success in weight loss with clients you need to look at the big picture to see overweight as a symptom and we need to treat the reason to allow the symptom to disappear.

In this speech I give basic tools and ideas behind my new effective weight loss method to allow you to help your client to achieve healthy lifestyle and lose weight.
