Writing Effective Scripts

An effective script has to be directly based on the client’s well-defined problem while incorporating his or her expectations and desired outcome. Although many standard scripts are available for a wide range of issues, these should be adapted to fit the client’s personality, state of mind and particular nuances in their situation, environment, beliefs,
The starting point of all good and effective scripts is to identify and clarify exactly what the client’s problem is and what change they want to achieve behaviour, etc. It should also encompass their life goals and values to build motivation and a willingness to exert effort.”
