A presentation that provides a serious and well-considered psychotherapy model which integrates the ancient wisdom of mindfulness, Buddhist and Yogic psychology and non-dual philosophy – with the “magic” of hypnosis and the scientific approach of cognitive behavioural approaches to therapy – drawing on forgotten themes and discoveries in the history of cognitive and behavioural psychotherapies.
I'm a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, since 2007, and also the Director and Principal of the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. Since I took over the College from Donald Robertson in 2013, I have personally taught our externally verified Level 5 Diploma training programme over 40 times to over 2000 students. Prior to Covid I taught our Diploma training programme in Beijing for several years (where it is one of only six psychotherapy programmes that have been certified by the Chinese Psychological Society in partnership with the Chinese State government). I have a Dual Honours Degree in psychology and philosophy. I have a deep history of involvement in the world of yoga, non-dual philosophy and Yoga Tantra. I've been meditating for over 30 years and I'm passionate about integrating the wisdom of the East with the Science of the West.
