Batting for CBT

How hypnosis can improve efficacy of CBT

Presented by

Shuja Hoda

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has been the villain for most other therapists to bash in recent times. In CBT we help clients change their negative core beliefs through cognitive and behavioural change. Trained in both CBT and Hypnosis I can see how hypnotherapy can improve the efficacy of CBT and make it more powerful and effective.

I qualified as a mental health nurse in the UK in 1996 following a psychology degree from India. I completed my Master Practitioner in Hypnosis from London in 2008 but got into CBT training through the IAPT programme. I have been working as a CBT psychotherapist in the NHS since. I am currently employed in the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London as a psychotherapist
