Disgust is a strong emotion and it can be a very powerful motivator of human behaviour, especially when used in very direct and intentional way. Many of us have had the experience of having eaten or drank something that did not sit well in our stomachs, or may have even made us really sick. For some of us, the next time we came face to face with that substance, we simply did not want to ever touch it ever again. The thought of it may have even made our stomachs turn. This is an aversive reaction. In this one hour seminar you will learn how and why the power of disgust works with habit control, and how you can use the art of aversion in an intentional way with clients that are out of control with habits, substances or behaviours that simply do not serve them in any positive way. |
