We are thrilled to say that at this year’s UK Hypnosis Convention, we’ll be welcoming Dan Jones for the first time at our event, presenting on the Friday.
Dan began working in mental health in 1997 before transitioning to working with families and now mainly sharing knowledge online. He became interested in hypnosis in the early 1990’s and has been a hypnotherapist since 2001 and a hypnotherapy trainer since 2004. Dan is the author of over 30 books, has almost 100k students taking his eCourses and runs a number of YouTube channels, including a therapeutic sleep stories channel which has over 100,000 subscribers.
Dan’s presentation is titled: The Art of Trance-Formative Tales – Harnessing the Therapeutic Power of Storytelling.
Dan explains that we use metaphors far more than we realise, from stating we can’t grasp an idea, would like to gain perspective, or feel stuck in a rut.
During this presentation, he will share how he observes for clients’ metaphors, where he finds additional metaphors, and how he integrates hypnosis with the metaphors to develop therapeutic stories to help clients create change from the inside out.
Dan explains more in this video.
