UKHC 2024 Friday Night Live: James Tripp & Ravi Mayar – Trick Linguistics: Stoned on Language
In this presentation Ravi Mayar and James Tripp will be showing you how you can create amnesias and other odd experiences, on the fly, using language (and perhaps a dash of non-verbal communication) alone. No trance inductions, just direct ‘mind magic’. But for what purpose? That part will be down to you; we will just be giving you the tools!
James Tripp is a British personal development coach, hypnotherapist, and author known for his unique approach to hypnosis called “Hypnosis Without Trance.” His work focuses on helping individuals master their minds, improve personal psychology, and achieve transformative change without relying on traditional trance-based hypnosis techniques. Tripp combines insights from various disciplines, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), philosophy, and martial arts, to develop his methods.
He has authored the book Hypnosis Without Trance: How Hypnosis Really Works, which provides practical techniques for facilitating hypnotic phenomena in real-world settings without deep trance induction. His approach has gained popularity among street hypnotists, coaches, and change agents globally. In addition to his writing and coaching, Tripp offers workshops, online courses, and one-on-one sessions to help people develop their personal power and navigate life’s challenges.
Ravi Mayar is a British-born, Canadian-raised magician known for his exceptional skills in close-up magic, hypnotism, and entertainment pickpocketing. Currently based in the UK, he has performed across multiple continents for a wide variety of audiences. Mayar’s unique performances blend conversational hypnosis, where he influences people’s perceptions in real-time, with impressive sleight-of-hand tricks and pickpocketing for entertainment purposes.
His background in business helped him transition into magic, where he combines his knowledge to captivate high-profile clients around the world. Ravi Mayar is also a sought-after teacher and creator in the magic community, having developed routines and techniques that are widely respected among both newcomers and established professionals.
