In this presentation, Joni will discuss the myriad of benefits of giving these talks and how to get started. She will provide a basic outline for a first team talk using the skills you already have and provide a method of self-preparation that increases your confidence.

Joni will use video clips from some of the teams she has worked with to demonstrate how she uses convincers and techniques to capture their interest. She will also provide a list of team talk topics so you will understand how they can work with teams over an entire season.

"Joni Johnston Neidigh is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and has been in private practice for over 30 years. Joni is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotist and ICBCH Trainer who specializes in athletic performance. She has mentored and hypnotized individual athletes, coaches, and teams from age-group to Olympians and professionals. She is best known for her extensive experience traveling to deliver her signature “team talks” about the power of the mind. Joni works with sports teams, corporate events, conferences and coaches’ clinics. She has hosted international coaches and teams including Spain, Japan, Brazil, Australia, Scotland, Canada, and more. Joni is an award-winning hypnotherapist and psychotherapist and an international best-selling author. She shares her passion with other hypnotists and clinicians through her Gold Medal Mental Toughness Sports Hypnosis Certification training program which is offered on-line and live at selected conferences. Joni teaches an inner coaching model that involves working with athletes over sessions, seasons, and sometimes careers. In addition to sports Joni is certified by the National Association of Forensic Counselors as a Domestic Violence Counselor. She pioneered the Anger and Violence Intervention Program which has been a successful group program for over 30 years. Recently, she has structured this program so that hypnotists and hypnotherapists can successfully use the program and guide. Joni believes in creating a meaningful, personalized approach for all clients, athletes, teams and corporations to help them reach their specific goals.
