UKHC21

What is happening with UKHC21?

4th February 2021, A message from Adam Eason

Having rescheduled last year’s UK Hypnosis Convention, It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I am here to inform you all that having given it a great deal of careful consideration, we have made the decision to roll the 2021 UK Hypnosis Convention on to 2022 and not run the live in-person event this year. (We will be doing something special this year instead, so read on…)

Our main reasons for doing so:

  1. Even if the entire UK is vaccinated by then, we cannot be certain about our overseas speakers and attendees who are essential to making this convention the success it is. We cannot know for sure what travel restrictions may be in place and how safe it will be for them all to travel.
  2. We are concerned about how responsible it is to host a well-attended event in a hotel in the heart of one of the world’s busiest airports. The safety of our attendees is paramount. We can’t in good conscience go ahead if there is a risk to the health and safety of our attendees.
  3. Given the challenges that are being faced currently by the hypnotherapy field, we do not think that there is necessarily the appetite for a convention in 2021, and also we are aware that many hypnotherapists have found the past year difficult and may not have the finances to be able to attend such an event.

We have other reasons, and seeing a great many other large events in the UK in late Summer and Autumn being cancelled, we have made the decision to follow suit. We think that we’d prefer to be as professional and as considerate as possible, and not spend the best part of a year attempting to organise a big event and then for it to keep being changed along the way, or even stopped at the last minute causing challenges for people. We’d rather offer up some small amount of certainty in these highly uncertain times.

We have organised the dates in 2022 for the weekend of the 11th-13th of November and plan on making it an incredible return of the UK Hypnosis Convention. The dates are set so do get them in your diary – the weekend of the 11-13th of November 2022.

Further details for UKHC22 will appear on this website in 2022, as we develop the event. Updates will be shared on our usual social media channels as well.

In the mean-time, there is more information on our intentions for UKHC22 here.

It seems like a long way away until we can all be together again, sooooooo…. I’m excited to announce….

On the weekend of the 12-14th of November 2021, this year, we are going to run a virtual event that we would love you to join us for. We are going to make this event something to truly serve the field of hypnotherapy – and it will be totally free for all. Many of our original speakers and some new additions will deliver a series of 1 and 2-hour presentations. We will launch all the lectures on YouTube during the weekend – many of our speakers are going to be available to answer questions on our Facebook group when their presentations go live. We will also host a live Q&A at the end of each of the 3 days on Zoom with a handful of our speakers each day. I have some real fun lined up for you as well as some amazing education.

The entire aim of this event is to serve our beloved hypnotherapy field.

There has been much division in the world in this past year in a wide number of ways. As well as the world being divided over a great many issues, so hypnotherapists may feel divided, and we’d like us to see if we can remedy that.

Many hypnotherapists have suffered somewhat at the hands of the pandemic, and this is a chance for us to support each other, to celebrate each other, to bring us all together and to help learn, develop and once again thoroughly enjoy being part of the hypnotherapy field.

There will be more details in the coming weeks, but we aim to start releasing interviews with our speakers throughout Spring 2021.

Keep an eye out for news about this big online event. Make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter for announcements – you can do that from the top of this page – and make sure you’ve joined our Facebook group and follow us on social media channels.
