Magical Rafi
This presentation explores non-verbal hypnosis induction techniques rooted in Eastern philosophy, especially Buddhist and Sufi traditions, and demonstrates how these methods create trance states without the use of spoken suggestion.
Magical Rafi will begin by showing how ancient practices use breath, rhythm, and embodied movement to shift awareness. These techniques rely on presence and internal focus, allowing the mind to settle naturally into a receptive and hypnotic state.
From the Buddhist perspective, Magical Rafi will demonstrate methods such as The Honey bee breathing, where humming vibrations help draw attention inward and quiet mental activity.
You will also be introduced to the 3-step walking and the Slow Motion Eye exercise, which demonstrate how repetitive motion or stillness can gently guide participants into a calm and centred trance without verbal cues.
Next, Magical Rafi will move into Sufi-inspired techniques, including a practical demonstration of whirling, the iconic Mevlevi method that uses continuous spinning to blur external perception and create a deeply inward-focused state. The expressive “madman” technique will be showcased, which uses spontaneous, unstructured movement to bypass analytical thinking and release emotional tension.
In closing, Magical Rafi will highlight how all of these practices, whether breath-based, rhythmic, or movement-driven, use the body itself as the primary tool for trance. Through live demos, he aims to show how non-verbal induction can be powerful and deeply transformative.
