We’re really happy to welcome Derek Heron to present for the first time this year. His presentation is entitled “Accelerate Client Rapport Using Body Language” and will be delivered on Friday afternoon.
The Presentation:
Having a good relationship with your client goes a long way to achieving rapid and successful change. By understanding and using body language during our client sessions, we can quickly build a good rapport and trust at a deeply subconscious level.
Derek is a working hypnotherapist with an online practice based in Central Scotland. Derek is also a freelance body language analyst working mainly within mainstream media. Some notable VIP subjects include Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin at the G8 Summit in 2013. Derek was hired to study and comment on the body language of Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon when she testified at the Alex Salmond criminal investigation. Recently OK! Magazine asked Derek to provide a live running commentary of the Royal family at Prince Philip’s funeral.
During this presentation, Derek explores the psychology of body language and linguistics and how it can be used to quickly put your client at ease and build trust. In his delivery, Derek will cover the importance of being one’s authentic self and provide examples of his own approach with clients. Derek will explain the use of mirroring, pacing and leading and the importance of language and listening. The talk is delivered in a fun and casual manner and supplemented with Powerpoint slides and audience interaction.
Bio:
Derek Heron is a busy working hypnotherapist based in Central Scotland. Derek has had a life-long passion for psychology and has been performing magic and mind-reading for over forty years. Derek is also an author, keynote speaker and a freelance body language analyst. Working with mainstream media for well over a decade, he has contributed to hundreds of articles in newspapers, magazines and radio interviews.
